lc9s

I owned a PF9 for quite a while, and fired an LC9 on several occasions.  They are very, very similar pistols.  Great everyday carry guns, but far to light weight to be pleasant to shoot.  The amount of felt recoil is huge considering its coming from a little 9mm luger round.      I prefer the DAO trigger of the PF9, LC9 over a striker fire gun like the LC9s.   A year or so ago I traded the PF9 for a SCCY CPX-2 and couldn't be happier with it.

Was it a grip integrated laser?  That's what I want but I don't think they make it to fit the 9 at the top of my list (Ruger SR9).

Yes, it came as a package - LC9CT. I was very sad to have to sell it. I'm pining right now.

Love my SR9!!  Strongly recommend lighting the trigger pull by trimming at least one ring off the firing pin spring. I did 1 1/2 rings off mine. Lightened it up alot!

That gun is my leading contender but I know it definitely needs a lighter trigger pull.  I figured if I end up getting it I would have to replace the trigger, but the spring alteration sound pretty easy.  I think I'll research it a bit.  Do you have some kind of a laser on yours that you would recommend?

just factory sites right now. Would love a crimson trace. 
spring alteration was easy. Did a quick search and found the article. Not sure if I still have it. I just cut 1/4 a ring/loop off the spring at a time and reassembled it,test then trim till it was to my liking

I really like mine and the recoil is no big deal. The s model has a much better trigger than the lc9.

I just went through this same thing but I ended up getting the Walther PPS instead.  Both are nice little CCW.

Personally not a big fan of Rugers. I have had experiences with several and 2 I had to call customer support on. yes they fixed the problem and were awesome to deal with but I don't like having to call them in the first place.

Now the LC9 in particular while its light, thin, and of a good caliber. the trigger and magazine disconnect turn me off to it. I don't like how heavy the trigger is and I don't like my trigger being worthless if the mag is out.

If it were my money I would spend the extra on a S&W Shield or a Glock 26. both I believe to be better guns for carry. S&W and Glock have outstanding reputations for quality, reliability and both have better triggers.

Also don't worry about the recoil TOO much, yes it will be stout but there are plenty of 9mm loads out there including "low recoil" so you can find one that you are comfortable with. and practice, practice, practice.

I loved mine, wish I never would of parted with it. I had the crimson trace laser and that's the only way to go over the laser max laser. It's an awesome summer time or even year round gun.
