Took a little hike today saw a nice BT buck with about 6" new growth but could find his head gear to save my life but my dog did find this nice Rosie shed. Got a pic of him digging it out of the grass even

I guess just depends on where you are. There are many still packing but lots have dropped also my buddy picked up 6 fresh low land Bt sheds 2 days ago and another guy i know got 32 bench buck sheds over the weekend.
My dad has shot several bucks in late muzzle loader season that have already dropped. My real good friend shot one this year during late buck riffle season that had already dropped. Thats the earliest one i have ever heard of

What would the regulation be on a buck during late buck already been shed. The way I see it wouldn't that be considered antler less at that point making it a no go. Especially since the regs state visible antler like growth as in bone. Just in conversation. Just looking at point of views. Think this is an interesting topic.
Saw one blacktail in this pass early December that already shed but was chasing a doe rutting like crazy.

Sorry i should had been more specific he did have one side when he shot it thinking it only was a one horned buck but when he got up to it it actually had shed the one side and then dropped the second side after he shot it. So he back tracked and found the side it had when he shot it.

That is early! I picked up a fresh one thanksgiving weekend in Vail several year ago during late archery. Found a few good ones today, but fresh is alluding me.

Dandy sheds guys! All of them look in great shape for not being fresh.

I'll be back at it tomorrow going into a spot i found several elk sheds during elk season and also saw some nice bucks.
Good luck to everyone this weekend hope to be seeing lots of pics 😄

I am having a heck of a time finding BT sheds this year but the old elk sheds keep coming!  My 2 yo daughter even found her first shed today and my niece found one off a bull that a friend had missed during muzzle loader season this year. His a lot bigger now 7x7 but still has the big crowns. His shed is about 3-4 years old but still has that nice crown on top and the one along the road i have driven past it atleast 20 x's this year but found it today  :chuckle: Hope everyone else had a great time in the woods like we did even tho it rained most of the day
