Any reason why you say Blacktail?
"All those who love Nature she loves in return, and will richly reward, not perhaps with the good things, as they are commonly called, but with the best things of this world-not with money and title, horses and carriages, but with bright and happy thoughts, contentment and peace of mind."

Elk
Yes, my FJ is pink, I'm all about Team Jacob, beer is not for the horses nor is whiskey for the men, they are both for me.

I understand your disbelief I felt the same way.
It was my first find this spring only 3 inches protruded from the moss .   I lifted it up and it justkept coming. Believe me or not bit I saw a buck at least 150 in the general area 2 years ago

So the experts say elk .
How do you confirm the species of an antler (mule deer blacktail whitetail elk)?
I've spent quite a bit of time in this area and have never seen an elk or sign of an elk. I wish there were elk here it would save me some gas money. When I get time I'll try and find the other side.

What is the general area of the state you found the shed in?
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I have heard that the smell is what gives it away

Elk are in a lot of green belts in pierce county, rosscrazyelk saw some cows standing by the welcome to Bonney lake sign at the top of 410 just a while ago.

So how are you experts coming to these conclusions.
Somebodies elk sightings
Somebodies opinion
I've hunted this area for many years
How can you tell
The length is obviously absurd if it's a buck and this is why I shared it with you otherwise I would not have posted a pic of a spike bull shed
