I wouldn't say they've moved in. Though it looks like you had one wander through a year or so ago...

It may be possible but the possibility is slim
It's hard enough finding any b tail shed let alone a stray elk

Where I hunt mule deer "there are no elk". However, several years ago a guy found a matched set from a 6x6 bull. About ten years before that someone I know saw a bull in the area. Those elk had a lot farther to go. One of the places I hunt blacktail "there are no elk". Except every once in awhile someone gets one on their trail camera. My point is I think that a antler that looks exactly like an elk antler is probably more likely to be an elk antler than some weird, once in a lifetime freak unicorn blacktail deer antler. Especially since there are a lot of elk in pierce county. But I guess I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

 :yeah:

Unless you're on the peninsula(?), odds seem much better it's from an elk. If so, then maybe it could be that freaky BT.

That's the point of the post if you think this is an elk antler that's fine. It's just not what I think and the reason for posting a freaky spike buck. Once again how does one determine the species of an antler. The sportsmans, show measurers don't have a way.
I remember 15 or so years ago a guy claimed he had a monster blacktail and had it scored only to find out it was a mule deer. He had his pic in wa,oregon magazine with a,ruler inside his rack.

If it makes you feel better to call it a blacktail horn then do so.
The more I look at it I think it's a Columbia Whitetail Shed. That's just my opinion.  ;)

Wandering upside down elk deer.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Love that shed, any shed found in wet side is a awesome find.
If  that green belt is located around JBLM, their is more elk showing up in that area every year.
