FS: Rare Remington 700 Classic in .350 Rem. Mag.
« on: August 26, 2017, 03:22:01 PM »
This is a tough decision, however I am buying another vehicle and can use the cash.
This rare caliber rifle is in great condition in and out. 22" barrel with shiny bore and no rust, pits, scratches, good grooves, shoots very well with the loads I have built for it. 1.5" groups are easy with hunting loads. The wood is in near new condition! One mark by the safety and one on the end of the fore stock.
It's topped with a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9x40, gold ring, older model, great shape.
Sale includes:
 RCBS dies
120 loaded rounds all from reloading manuals, all have been shot and are safe with no signs of pressure.
I have loaded rounds in 250 gr. Nosler partitions and Speer grand slams.
225 gr. Sierra boat tails and 220 gr. Speer flat tips.
I shot a cow moose with the 250 gr. Grand slams, worked great.
This is really a reloaders rifle. I have fired it possibly 30 times in the 5 years I have owned it.
Send PM for cell number.
Asking $1,250 $1,150 $1,000 for the whole package.
Thanks,
Jason in Puyallup

GLWS.  Great rifle, and in a suitable caliber for anything in North America.  And that's a good price for that complete setup with dies and that much ammo.

I stumbled across some of the 250 grain 35 cal Speer Grand Slams today in a small gunstore.  I was excited to find them, and of course bought them out as Speer has stopped making Grand Slams in 35 cal now.

Bump for a great rifle.....    350 Rem Mag in Model 700 was my dream rifle for years, but I never got my hands on one.

Now I have too many rifles and need to thin the herd, not add more.

Those Grand Slam bullets are great, this was the last of them. I loaded some in my 35 Whelen as well. Sweet rifle for bear, moose or elk. 2,600 fps with a 250 grain bullet puts a hurt on an animal with no lost meat to blood shot.

I'm looking forward to trying out the Grand Slams.

Hopefully you sell the rifle quick.  It's a great setup.

I can't believe this is still here.

Few rifles have a cult following like this one.

I think its too much gun for most people on the site??? :dunno: :chuckle:

Really its just not a well known caliber. People are not aware of what it is capable of. 8)

No thank you Teacher Man.
I have a 7mm Weatherby Mag Mark V Alaskan with a Zeiss HD5 2-10 scope, so no need for the 300.

Memics a 35 Whelen, but in a short action... hard to beat a 35 caliber in the timber when  hunting.. one shot and they are down!!!
