Bears catching salmon?
« on: October 03, 2017, 08:04:18 AM »
:dunno: Has anyone ever seen a bear or bears here in Washington chasing/ catching salmon?   :dunno:

I was watching Pinks run through shallow riffles yesterday evening and wondering.  I know Ralph Flowers commented in his book(s) about bears being hard to bait in the fall when they went after fish.
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

Same. Never actually witnessed it, but have found plenty of evidence of them eating fish, particularly in small creeks.

Watched one day before rifle deer season catching fish on the upper Skagit before newhalem about 10 years ago. Catching them one by one and lining them up on the bank. Was pretty awesome.
