"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Great story.  Thanks for taking the time to post it.  Congratulations on your successful hunt.

That's actually him cutting up his deer.  Not a lot of story there, so I'm not doing a separate thread. Hunted bucks for a week and a half with no luck.  On the last day of the season we decided to go after a whitetail doe for him to fill his tag.  He made it happen in the last 20 minutes of light on the last day (no pressure, right.. ;) ).  One clean shot at 120 yards, dropped right where she was standing.
I was afraid that he might be disappointed shooting a doe after last year's double droptine muley, but he wasn't.  He was happy as a clam to not have to eat tag-soup.

That's where it's at man. Every kill matters, especially at that age. He'll remember it forever.
