WTB: .308 Remington 700 or Winchester Model 70
« on: December 01, 2017, 07:23:52 AM »
I am looking for a bolt action .308 in either Rem 700 or Winchester Model 70.  If you have one and are looking to part with it, let me know.

Just putting this back to the top in case someone has one that they are looking to sell.

I know you said Remington or Winchester.. but Cabelas does have the Savage model 12FV for sale in .308 win. Its only $419.99 and then you get a $100 mail in rebate through savage so basically a really nice rifle for $319.99 + tax.

Thanks, I did see those and some deals on the Savage Axis as well.  I've owned both Rem 700's and Win model 70's and they were great rifles for me.  Since they were, I wanted to stick with those models for this one.  It will be one of my sons forever rifle.

while I am definitely not willing to sell it I will say that I LOVE my model 70 in .308. Good luck on finding one, they're great rifles.

Thanks.  a 300 win mag is a bit too much gun for his size.  I'm still looking around locally before I have to have one shipped here but thus far, no luck.

Guns America has a really NICE Model 70 Featherweight in 7x57 at a good price.
Now I know you want a .308, but think about it, it's a hell of a cartridge.
Less recoil and flatter shooting with class.
GREAT cartridge for a kid and adult.
Case life is also great.

I'd buy it if I had the $$ just for deer.
good luck on your search.

Rob.
