We are rolling out auction #27 for Keegan.  Keep on pulling together for this kid and his family and let's do what we can to lighten their load a little.

If you haven't heard Keegan's story, here is a bit of background from Karl Blanchard

"Keegan Wilder is not your typical 7th grader.  He's a hardened mountain mule deer hunter.  Though he's a little small in stature,  he has the heart of a lion and is just as fierce!  He had been feeling a faint pain for a few months but nothing that would have caused concern.  Almost felt like a pulled muscle.  He asked to be taken into the urgent care because he was having a hard time breathing without any pain.  He was immediately referred to Seattle Children's where the family was given the devasting news after several blood tests, xray, and ultrasounds that he indeed had cancer.  The mass is quite large behind his rib cage growing towards his lung.  He had surgery within one day where they biopsied the mass to determine the exact kind of cancer (so they know what appropriate treatment to provide for that type of cancer) and also placed a port for his chemotherapy.

He recently had to have his port moved which involved a second surgery.  He is having a difficult time keeping weight on so a feeding tube has been placed to help him get the calories he needs.

Keegan is the toughest kid you will ever meet.  From the age of 5 he has been chasing his dad and I into some of the toughest mule deer country the west has to offer.  His first deer at age 10 was over 7 miles into the Idaho backcountry.  Even though he is on round 5 of chemo and very weak, he is always smiling.

Keegan and family still have a tough road ahead of them and can use our support.  Life can be so cruel and no child should ever have to go through what Keegan has.  Let's help make this dark time a little brighter."

Dick Nite Spoons has donated a package of fishing gear valued at $250.00 to put up for auction. J.Brower has offered to take the winner out for a day of Kokanee fishing on Lake Stevens. Here's the details from our member J.Brower who orchestrated this donation. Thank you, sir!!

We will ship it from Dickís shop, or can work out pickup if the winner is in the Snohomish county area. Just asked what kind of assortment he is thinking, he figured do a ďKokanee packageĒ with somewhere in the ballpark of 4 dozen lures, a couple of dodgers, and a couple bottles of scent. He will adjust it to get it in the range of $250 worth of stuff. Heís pretty easy going so it could probably be adjusted if the winner wants as well. He has a catalog on his website with all of the lures and whatnot www.dicknite.com

Let's do this donation justice. Start the bidding now and let it run until Wednesday 2/7/18 at 8:00pm.

Happy bidding!!

Here's a few pics of J.Brower's boat and some fishing success.

Why in the hell should I have to press 1 for English?
Economy failure = Too many people spending money they don't have on things they don't need to impress people they don't like.

Is it only the winner fishes or are they allowed to bring a friend or kid?

As many people as will fit in the boat are welcome  :chuckle: I can comfortably fish 2+ me, 3+ me is a little tight, unless it's a kid then it is more than do-able.

Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Heck with that....I still have yet to ask Dan-o if I'm allowed to post that. I'm going for forgiveness rather than permission!

 :hello: @Dan-o

You don't want H20 in your boat.  He'll make a mess.  He has this man purse he carries around that's full of glitter.  Out of the blue he'll say "Pixie Dust"!  And throw a handful up in the air then clap his hands and do a little dance.  Then there's the threat of a mankini.  Can you imagine that emerging when your in the middle of the lake.

We should go, I have some well aged Apple Pie for a beverage post fishing trip.  It's smooth...  With that being said let's move the bid up a little $325.

I'll show you a trick on how to modify the small flatfish that's deadly on river silvers one of these days.

Ive got a wash down pump plumbed in, it can make quick work of the glitter, as well as.... well maybe thatís not such a great idea with the threat of the mankini...
