Great work.  So, you don't have sharks with lasers on their heads then?    :chuckle:

I'm pretty impressed with myself right now  :IBCOOL: and had to share!

You should be.  That is pretty cool.

What is more awesome than a fricken laser? Have you laser etched 3d stuff yet?

I've lasered one thing I 3D printed in PLA. I expected it to get melty and gooey but it cut and engraved just fine. I don't know where it ended up at the moment though, so no pic.

Related, yes you can engrave rocks with a laser.

If your spelling of captin was intentional, I like your sense of humor.

Gold star. The owner of the rock has not yet caught onto that subtlety.

Time for you to sell those and become a site sponsor. I'll take 6 please, GMU 572.

I have a Glowforge laser. Waiting for it about killed me, but it's awesome now that it's here.

I see they have several different models, which model do you have?  I'm curious, did you purchase this to do/make things to sell or is it strictly a hobby kind of thing?  Either way, looks like a very cool device.

Thanks, it's always hard to gauge if what I think looks good other people will like too.
I bought during the initial 30 day funding campaign when prices were a little lower. For what it can do itís still priced competitively. Dremel is supposed to be coming out with a laser cutter soon, itíll be interesting to see how that goes.

Thanks for the encouragement! Canít say I was expecting to sell theseÖ I was just playing with my shiny new toy. Let me take a closer look at site sponsorship and get back to you. What caliber shell would you want to use to mark GMU 572?

Thanks! I have the Pro. I bought it for a little of both, I started a small CAD and 3D printing business in 2015 and have been able to slowly grow. Iím still learning how to use the laser. The only regular laser-ed product I have right now is an engraved leather pet ID tag for use on an invisible fence. Sounds like I should go for the forum sponsorship and not test the no advertising rule...
