Several years ago in Lincoln county, My Father and I wittnessed a guy shoot a two point when the three point minimum went into affect. Walked right up to the guys, as they were gutting it, and looked at the deer. There was no mistake that was an illegal deer. Got there license plate #, what kind of vehicle, description of the guy and made the call. By the time the Gamie went out to the guys house in the Spokane valley, the deer was already butchered up and there was no head to be found. We did everything that we thought we were supposed to do. The guy got away with it. That makes me mad because I actually saw him shoot the deer. I can see where all of this is frustrating, but I WILL do it again if I ever see anything. Maybe someday a poacher will have to face the music.

Lazy and slow gamie.  All the prosecutor would have to do is put you and your father on the stand to say it didn't have a 3rd point and he would have been convicted more than likely.  Guess it took the heat off of the gamie that he couldn't get there in time...   Dunno

too bad they couldnt have caught them. Only other thing you could have done was to take a pic I guess. But it CORT class they told us not to be confrontational just get Lisc number. In the case they described a guy snagging fish was to see what vehicle the guy got into, get the Lisc number and thats all they needed, but that sounds like a different deal. Also the Gamie at the meeting said she is in the field 1 day a week on average and the other time its doing administrative stuff. Probably like instructing the class

The Gamie where I hunt is in the field everyday! He works in conjunction with the Lincoln County Sherriff's office. Even during non hunting season I see him out and about all the time. Honestly he is a very nice guy and has a great sense of humor. The land owner where I hunt told me that the Gamie would arrest his own grandmother if he had to. When we saw the illegal deer, it was so many years ago that there was a different Gamie at that time.  Earlier in this thread someone mentioned that if you don't claim your points reward, that the local Gamie uses it for his family or what ever...two years ago, the game unit went to a draw only for late buck. Is it just by chance or why is it that the Gamie, his wife, and his daughter ALL got drawn for the late buck the very first year?   Dunno something smells a little like tuna hear....Just lawst years his daughter was drawn for a sheep hunt. She did get a realy nice ram though.   Two cents worth

I would like to think that having a Gamie knocking on your door at 5 pm in the evening,  while your neighbors are out,  your wife is standing behind you and your kids are looking around the corner.  Would make for one very uncomfortable conversation and a lot of explaining to do YIKES

I would pull in the driveway with my lights a sirens on and throw in a sliding stop for show. Machinegun
