Wonder if the thief could sue you over that?

Just what you need is it to spray some guy and he walk off a cliff and the family sues you,   chuckle

I would be cool and put a "warning no not remove or risk possible death" sticker on it.

I don't know how they could ever track it back to anybody.

To prevent possibly having thieves fall off cliffs I would rig it to not go off until they open the case at home. Then they will need to explain it at the ER.

I'm just sick of thieves and ready to get even with them. let a few stories of Pepper spray bombs in cams get out and nobody will want to monkey with them.

It would be cool to have a second cam set on video to capture the moment. Maybe youtube material?

It would be nice if a hunt- wa member is in the banking business and could provide exploding dye packs for our trail cams.... Sheriff arrest that b@stard, he's either a bank robber or a cam thief (same thing)  Wink

Most security pepper spray contains UV dye so they would be marked and not even know it.

I bet the next time the thief is walking around and finds a trail cam they piss their pants, run home and hide under the bed like they had an encounter with a man eating allien!!

I like the old .410 shell full of rock salt in a mouse trap trick!  Even a shell full or pepper or baby powder would work to scare the crap out of them.

I'm all for burning a thief but think putting a warning about risk of death may be a bad idea, lawsuit material.
As a comparison the dog catcher noticed  our dog signs purchased at the hardware store reading attack dog and beware of dog. She said those were lawsuit material admitting potential intended harm. Instead she suggested getting dog on duty signs to be in good legal standing.

sako223, she gave you excellent advice. My Rottweiler breeder in Alaska gave those exact signs out with each puppy. We made multiple copies and posted around our house, truck, car, and my mother's summer home. Our sign that those exact words plus a silhouette of the breed. (nothing like black and brown coming at you in a home invasion)

Wow!  I would have figured that would be the ticket to beat a lawsuit, but I guess I'm wrong!  Still a GREAT idea!
