Club or clutch lock or???

Hey guys i got a toyota and they are really easy to steal so i was wondering what your opinion is on like anti-theft things. Like a club (i think thats what is called locks the steering wheel) or a clutch lock (locks the clutch pedal up). Or what else is there that works good? Thanks for any advise.

Insurance!!! the club is worthless, just cut the wheel. Any pro that wants your car will simply hook a wrecker to it and take it.

Before I bought my Jeep (which wont run more than 2 seconds without the RFI chipped key in the ignition) I used to take the coil wire or rotor out of the distributor and pocket it if I was at a trailhead or the like. I'd go for the club, haven't seen the Clutch club...but if they really want your rig they'll just cut the steering wheel to take the club off.

had a show awhile ago with a car thief. he sprayed freon on the club and hit it with a hammer and it just shattered. not sure if the clubs are made of different material now but the were just pot metal. the show was about how fast a car thief could steal your car. camaro was equipped with the Club and an alarm. 28 seconds the alarm was turned off, the club was removed and the car was driving down the road. too bad the guys with this much ingenuity do not put is to better use. could be a very wealthy man if applied to the right job.

lol i knew bout the steering wheel being cut off and if someone really wants it they could get it pretty much no matter what i put on there to try and do to slow them down but not every thief is that good.

I think you are being a little paranoid myself, what are you driving that you fear the entire car would be stolen? Don't keep anything of value in it and keep it insured and its seriously doubtful you will ever have a problem.

Remote kill switch. It has worked in all my previous Hondas.

what year? early 90's and older you can weld a bracket just under the lock slide, and even a slim cant get in there to pull up the latch.

A club is a great tool. Yes they can cut the wheel or freeze the lock. But those guys are few and far between. Almost every thief will move on to the next car if the see a club or blinking light from an alarm. They will take the easyest car they can find.  Does anyone personally know anyone who had there car stolen while using a club?  Most tweekers are not real smart. Check your local police departments for a club. I bought mine when I lived in Everett from the police department for $10. Also as others said get insurance that's what it's for.

i got 2 toyotas have had one stolden twice lol but i put kill switches to the main power in the ignition and then hide it up under the dash havent got one stolden sence and a pull the coil wire off every night

and if you live close to buckley i will even help you put the kill switch in its easy cheap and seems to work and i dont mind working on stuff like that kinda fun lol pm if you got any questions

In seriousness, I hate parking anywhere near other folks. Most of the areas we frequent are a bit further back where I generally dont see other people. But....when I have had to leave it unprotected and vulnerable, I worry more about smash and grab and not theft of the vehicle....so the club would be pointless, I worry about stashed valuables...
