New Trail Cam pics
« on: May 28, 2008, 07:42:42 PM »
Well I just picked up my 1st trail cam, a Moultrie D40, it's just a cheapy but it does a pretty good job.  I've been getting a ton of deer coming into it but only two small bucks and one mystery critter, my guess is a Bobcat but it's pretty blury?

Is the D40 that bad of a trail cam?  Pics look alright to me, but if anyone has any suggestions, let me know.  I don't want to break the bank, but I'd like to pick a couple up.

Nice pics! Can you leave a trail cam out all year? I'd like to pick one up and put it on the property we deer hunt on, but I'd have to leave it there til the next deer season.

I think I saw that exact same buck as pic 4 on FT Lewis he had a nub head with him and frolicking in the street trying to get run over at 3pm.

u never did tell me where I can get the D40 for under 100$?????

Cabela's has them for $99 but you can find several on E-bay in the $90's, I only paid $80, of course you will be competing with me on the good deals, I'm going to have to pic up a couple more, these things are fun.

Went out and checked the camera this morning, lots of deer, still no good bucks, the little fuzzy nub buck from earlier is growing out a little and a nice spring bear decided to come in for look around.

looks kinda like a deer in the process of getting the hell out of there on the blurry one. :dunno:
