Child's play; aced it first time.  The nose has a bad habit of giving the bear away.

Do yourself a favor:
At least one grizzly bear has been confirmed by WDFW in the North Cascades and we have a couple dozen in Northeast Washington. Here is the Montana bear identification test, take it until you pass with 100% and you will be much safer of not accidentally shooting a grizzly bear in Washington.

http://fwpiis.mt.gov/bearid/test.htm

Thanks to WDFW, Washington now has online bear identification training and a test. I strongly urge all Washington bear hunters to take this training and test, it may save you from accidentally shooting the wrong bear. Just the other day I was shown a trail cam photo of a mother grizzly with cubs that was taken in NE Washington this year and there are numerous other grizzlies in Washington.

100% first attempt
has anyone that passed went on to the certifcate thing?
Thinking on completing the certificate, but can't hunt in Montana anyhows so wouldn't do much good except to have.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

I aced it...really not a very difficult test, for me anyways! But gotta remember when your in the woods and the heat is on and they are 50, 75, 100 yards away from can you make that quick assessment and make the right call?

Got a 100% easily but I'm still trying to figure out why the heck we need grizzlies (and - thank you for posting this. it was fun and it will help many hunters). Makes about as much sense as adding wolves. We have too many predators already!

We used to have the plague and smallpox too.  I don't see the knuckleheads lining up to bring those back.  I agree that we are getting too many predators.  There was enough population control due to hunting to keep deer, elk and others at reasonable levels.  Got 100% on Montana's test a few years back.  Those are fun things to do.  WDFW should have more interactive activities on their website.

You need predators in the wild to pick off the week and sick that's mother natures way of keeping bad genes, traits, and diseases from being passed on.
