Headed out to Raymond this afternoon and right off the bat I started finding signs of bear.  Nothing real fresh but the road was littered with bear scat.  I even found a spot where they were bedding.  After quiet a while of searching for fresh signs I decided to leave and try another area.  Once there and in a ways we were heading up a steep logging road.  once we got to the top and was about to turn off the truck, several deafening shots rang out.  Shot after shot.  They were not far off and didn't stop until we got the heck out of there which didnt take long.  After that we decided to call it a day.
