Ok this hunt was great. As I stated in another post my dad and brother were over there since Saturday. They saw a ton of sheep and had four or five sheep spotted that we would take a vary close look at once I got there Monday afternoon. I got there about 12:30 Monday and waited for them at the feeding station. While there I watched and taped five rams chase one ewe. I finally found them and we drove to the top of the mountain. We worked about half way down seeing a lot of sheep. We spotted one that needed a good look. The fog was rolling in and out and the wind was howling driving spurts of rain and snow in our face. This was great!!! After we get done looking at the ram we start putting our stuff away and getting ready to walk back up to the truck as it was getting dark. As we turn around four rams and a ewe are walking down the ridge line and we see each other at the same time. The stop at about 30 yards and then take off down the mountain. One was a dandy!!! Tuesday we find our way back to the top and can see that there could be trouble getting up there because of snow. We stop and talk to one of the other hunters and they said that they turned around before they got stuck. We decided to turn around and work our way from the bottom up. As we worked our way up we were seeing a lot of sheep with quit a few of smaller rams. As we were working our way around on of the bends we see a small ram bedded and a litter bigger tending a couple of ewes. They see us and work there way around the next bend. We walk up the hill a bit futher and three bigger rams bust out the there beds. Two of them were as big as we have seen. They stop at 260 yards and as my dad shot his gun slid off of his pack and missed. This caused them to head up the hill and stop at 280 yards. This time dad drops him and he falls about 30 feet and slides another 40 before being stopped by a bush. We took pics and caped him out. The pack out was over two hours. We have had a great couple of years with OIL tags. I've had a chance to hunt moose in this state with my brother and now sheep with my dad. These were great times hunting with the family. Green gross 166 4/8.
