Hey I would like to put a different bolt handle on my Weatherby Vanguard Varmint. . .I have seen a lot of them for the Rem 700, Win 70, and Savage actions but none for the Weatherby. . .
. . .does anyone know if they are interchangeable with one of the above. . .I was thinking of getting a handle from Tactical Rifles or Surgeon, etc.
. . .just a little something to personalize the rifle. . .that's all. . .I've heard that the larger handles are also more comfortable and easier to use though as well. . .

You might want to go to weatherby nation and ask the guys there. :dunno:

Thanks for the suggestion. . .I tried searching for a Weatherby forum but I didn't have any luck. . .so you hooked me up!!!

I just did some looking around and it looks like you will need to cut the old handle off and have a tig to weld the new one on, You might want to call a smith and see what they say. Its not that hard to TIG some thing like that but the angle of the handle might get tricky. :dunno:

I'm in welding school right now. . .I haven't taken TIG (GTAW) yet. . .I've taken Oxy-Acetylene and SMAW (stick) I. . .and I'm currently taking GMAW (MIG) and SMAW II. . .next quarter is SMAW III and I'm gonna do a special project lab to learn GMAW-P (Pulsed MIG) and special GMAW techniques so that I can do the really nice GMAW welding that you see on the Trophy Truck desert racing trucks, hot rods, etc.
. . .but I'm not likely to cut the bolt off of my "new" rifle any time soon. . .just to put a different handle on. . .but thanks for the info!!!
