Was back at it. Hit 5 stands. Hunted low and then went high into snow line. Nothin! But had a great time with my son. This winter has been really tough for us to find coyotes. Have been out 3 times calling hard, calling soft, long, short, everything. It's been difficult over here in the OP for yotes. Looking for a nice coat to skin/mount
Anyway, here are some pics of the hunt. Beautiful country. We even had to Chain up" to reach some of our spots.
You'll see a BIG track; it doesn't look like a cougar to me, and it was huge. Maybe a bear? I should have put something in the pic as a reference. I'd say it was about 8-9 inches from tip to base.

Sounds like a good day. It looks like two dog prints to me, one over the other.

Not a bear.

that looks like two dog prints one stepping partway over the other. at least that's what it looks like to me

the more I look at it the more it kind of looks like a cougar track too...not sure.

Looks to have claws at tips of toes. My vote is dog of some sort. Love hunting yotes in the snow. Gotta get out soon.

4 toes tells us it's either a dog or a cat. Doesn't look round enough for a cat track.
Probably a wolf track.....
