They upped some limits to 4 canadas, 6 snows and 10 specs. But the bad news is only one pintail.
-
One pinnie huh? I always see tons of them.
-
There are lower numbers in all the other flyways and people have spoke up about it. What they don't know is the Pacific flyways winters about 50 percent of the pintail population.I heard counts were low but I don't see that in our flyway
-
Agreed. Some times of the year I see hundreds all day long
-
No surprise on the pintail. After reading the proposal earlier this year. Where in the hell are they counting the specks, I saw about 9 last year all season.
-
Yeah the specs are more surprising than the pintail. Make it 10 snows not specs

Im with you on that one. Last year we killed 172 snows and 1 speck

I am pretty surprised at that limit on Specks as well. They do come through, especially on the westside but it is usually early in the fall, like September. I have seen hundreds of them at Nisqually but never during the season. I have seen a few scattered about on the eastside during the season, usually in the mix with big concentrations of lessers.

Just part of the frustration I have seen in my bird hunting career. Seen the pheasant season get longer, duck seasons and limits increase, and geese. All that has happened is success for the public still goes down and these increases are only going to happen on paper for the public hunter to keep us paying the fees for hope. Also gets out of state hunters up here to pay extra fees to hunt at all the nice gun clubs we have in our state.

:yeah: Must have been a typo :dunno: Our flyway has abundant pintail. Lucky to even see ten specs the whole season and with a daily bag limit of 10 specs will for sure put them on the endangered list. Glad to see the sky carp(snows) limit went up a little but still shoulda been 10 daily.

i see tons of specklebellys on the chehalis river when i'm fishing in late september. never seem to see them when it's open to shoot them, though. i wonder if they're like bluewing teal, they're in the area but migrate out before the season?
still don't get why they dropped the pintail bag limit. there's tons of them here.

For the entire Pacific Flyway. The southern Oregon and California guys will benefit from this. Might have been nice to have 10 each though, but I won't argue with a 50% increase.

Balance of state zone in California can Shoot 30 geese a day ( 20 white geese and 10 dark geese)
