From what I've seen with danner quality in the last 8 or son years is they're not worth the cost even at 60% off

I run the gore tex USMC RAT boots which are actually not on sale, hence my edit. The non-gore tex version is, however. Can't speak for the rest of their offerings but can say these RATs are the best boots I've ever owned.

everybody seems to base their opinion off of their cheapy pronghorns that are made in china. i've had nothing but good luck with their american made boots. my primary pair of hunting boots(i think they were called hawks, discontinued now) are going on 6 years old with no trouble at all.

I agree their China stuff is not worth the price but their USA made stuff has treated me well over the last 20 years. Just threw away a pair that was 11 years old. They had been leaking for about 5 years but just finally started really going down hill this summer. Man were they comfy. Have two brand new pairs of USA Danners hope they last me as long as my last two sets.

Not really true. I had a pair of USA made work boots & they lasted about 5-1/2 months. Danner is nowhere near the company they used to be.
