Title: Any current tips regarding washougal blacktails?
Post by: HunterofWA on November 08, 2017, 07:47:26 PM
Hey there everyone, so my brother just got into deer hunting this year and he is hunting modern firearm. He was unsuccessful during the early season and is looking for some tips regarding hunting around Larch, Bell mountain area.

He is taking a few days off the late season but I would like to give him some pointers on how the hunting has gone on the state land aforementioned. I know I brought this topic up earlier this year but I was interested to see if there was any more recent info on the area.

If you have any pointer's your willing to share then let me know as it will be greatly appreciated!

I haven’t seen much deer in the hills.. now around lacamas lake..I’ve seen some brutes.. not much help I get it.. do you know the 4 corners area up near goose lake? My father in law always had good luck the last weekend for a fork horn..more land to hunt. The Washougal area is full of Jeep guys and people from Portland target shooting.. too busy for deer I think.

I think the harvest numbers were pretty good last year.  Get as far off the main roads as far you can, find a tempting spot and move little, glass a lot.
