I am thinking about heading to the river tomorrow morning. Fairly new to salmon fishing but was wondering if they are still running or is it to late.
-
There will be a few late coho still around ans some steelhead but also a bunch of people.
-
Not sure where u live but the Satsop is probably a better bet. Might be late for the Satsop although it gets and A and B run of cohos.
-
I live right next to it went down there yesterday to take a peek. There a few red ones in there might get lucky on a crome one or a steelhead. Very few people
-
its been dead
-
WHen do the steelhead start to show in decent numbers?
-
Feb and march are best on the skook...but by late Jan, it will be worth fishing IMO
-
Rooks...
Watch the USGS water data for Skookumchuck Bloody Run...fish every drop from now through late March.

I'm a local but not much of a fisherman. I do know it is hard to pull a chrome out of there but they are in there. It can get very crowded at times and be legal 100%, don't be hiding chromes in puddles! I get a kick out of all the gear in the trees come spring when the water is down and fishers gone.!
