great another thing i gotta buy.... I haven't even bought a vinci yet... might have to do some overtime work :chuckle:
-
Maybe I should have put this in "Guns and Ammo". I was thinking upland shotgun when I posted it...
-
That's just great. It looks like I'll need to sell my Benelli M1...promos like that cost me money.

Click...............WTF..............Click...........Mother F%^&*.................. :bash:
I have a SBE2 and i love the way it looks. Not such a fan of it going CLICK when the birds come. I use it for upland it's just not a great gun in the extreme conditions that i duck hunt. For ducks i love my Winchester SX3.

I just got the Email also! The Mr-1/.223 is pretty sweet also.

hey corey tdf... you tried a new vinci on for size?

Nope I already have a $1500 paper weight. I don't want another. :chuckle:

I am with CoryTDF. I just don't trust Benelli especially at that price.

I shoot an M2 and love it. Havnt had any problems with it. My buddy shoots the Ultra Light or whatever its called and he hasnt had ant problems with it either.

Them Benelli sure are nice looking guns. I guess I am just cheap and old fashioned. I still lug around an 870 in 12 for ducks and a 20 for upland. I did buy an 870 express and had to refinish it, they got cheap on the finish and it got surface rust first time out in the blind (my fault waited to clean it in the morning).
I tried shooting an auto a few times but I kept trying to pump the damn thing.

watched my wife do the opposite when she switched from her semi auto to my pump lol. she just kept tracking the bird and pulling the trigger.

I have one of the original SBE's and love it.

I have a SBEII and love it. I put 400-500 rounds through it every fall, but I clean it weekly, or sooner, during the upland season and have had no problems with it. I don't duck hunt, and I know that can be harder on an auto. But for upland and turkeys, I love it.

I have an M1 and love it - never any problems. It doesn't hold 3 1/2, though.
My Dad has a Super Light and the squared off trigger guard whacks him in the middle finger when he shoots. If we're shooting a lot, it gets super bruised. The thing doesn't smack me - he must somehow hold the thing at a strange angle with his hand. Dunno - he's a pretty good shot, though.

This link takes you to the Ultra Light. I really haven't heard a bad thing about them. I heard that when they were first introduced they had problems with the raised rib coming loose. It's my understanding that is not an issue anymore.

I have a Franchi I-12 which has pretty much the same gun as the SBE, but it only shoots 3 inch. It is an awesome gun except for one problem. My bolt handle keeps falling out. At the beginning of hunting season last year it fell out and I lost it. It was out of commission for the rest of the season. I finally found a replacement bolt handle online and had it ready to go for this season. I only got to hunt with it a few times this year and the handle fell out again. I am going to send it back to franchi and make them either replace the bolt or fix the problem.

Wow, the stories about faulty weapons!
