Who else has the fever?
« on: June 24, 2012, 02:42:26 PM »
I dont know what it is, maybe the nice weather  :chuckle: or the fact that im starting to see more animals out and about, but i am getting the itch for elk season to start. Its only 72 days away for me and I will be taking off for a week to hopefully connect on a nice rosie bull. I just wanted to see who else is getting the fever or the itch to start hunting again? And share some success photos and stories, just to get everyone even more fired up!

In a very bad way. I drew my first bull tag this year which is making the symptoms worse then a normal year.

I have it BBAAADDDD!!!!  Building Calls is killing me because I am constantly blowing on a call so I am always reminded of it (my neighbors think I'm nuts).

Saw a dandy bull the other day with GREAT 3rds.  Pretty sure it is the bull I let go on last years hunt (@10:33 on the video he had decent thirds last year).

I have Cabin Fever! Been laid up for 2 months and just had surgery last Wednesday on my lower back! I am so ready to get on my feet and do some scouting before the early season starts.

Pretty sure I have the fever after I pack up my gear from the previous season....it doesnt seem to leave me.

Gotta love hearing an elk bugle in the morning light, always brings a smile to my face.

My name is Bean Counter, and I am an elkoholic.

I can keep myself up at night thinking about the hunt.

Thank your lucky stars you live in an OTC elk state.

More than any previous year!  Benn watching elk low in the valley and hills near home.  Still waiting for roads to open so I can take the first hike into the Margaret back country.
