2007 harvest reports?
« on: August 18, 2008, 08:32:38 AM »
Not trying to start a bashing thread, but I was just wondering if anyone has heard when the WDFW is planning on releasing the harvest reports? The website says "The complete 2007 Game Harvest Report will be available by August 2008." It's the 18Th and I want to see them before early archery season!

I don't know but I've been checking every day. I guess by their statement of having it up by August, they have until August 31st?   :dunno:

I wouldn't hold my breath, even for that date though, as I still have not received notification of the special permit drawing results, and of course, that was supposed to be in my mailbox no later than July 31st.   :bash:

i stopped by the montesano office a week ago to ask about the harvest reports, and of course the first person i talked to did not even know what those were..they called olympia and i guess they were having some kind of "difficulty" with the data and are shooting for them to be out by the end of august.  i guess getting our info in by january 10th isnt early enough.

I read on their website that 35% of the hunters didn't meet the January deadline.  That's a lot of $10 penalties that the state receives. :yike:  I also called them last week about the incentive tags they "supposedly" give out and they told me the drawing was held April 15th for those.  Sure would be nice to know if somebody actually gets one or if it's an in house tag. :dunno:

Yeah, IF they are actually making these people pay the $10 penalty. They should, but I have my doubts.  :bash:

My cousin had to pay his fee.  Then they rewarded him with a Toutle bull tag. :dunno:  Lucky S.O.B.

I had to pay once a couple years ago.  When I went to do the report, the website wasn't working properly.  I forgot to try again later and the deadline passed.  Got charged extra when I bought my new licence in the spring.

Every year since they implemented the ten dollar fine, I have had to pay while buying new tags.  I guess I always forget. Never have drawn.
