Hancock ML Bull Hunt
« on: October 05, 2012, 08:43:42 PM »
Hey guys, I'm not riding shotgun for his hunt tomorrow, (his best friend gets that privileged) but I'll be posting updates and hopefully pictures over the next couple of days.  He's got some nice bulls on his trail camera, so hopefully he can connect.  Yes they are opening it up for the season.

From what I can tell all Hancock lands are closed to access.  :dunno:
This is from their website:

ALL Properties are CLOSED to ALL recreation access.

There have been several human-caused fires on the properties in the last week and east winds are forecast. The current fire danger is too great to keep the properties open for recreational access.

We understand that hunting seasons are in progress or about to begin. We will re-evaluate opening the properties on a daily basis. Please do not call our office for updates but instead stay tuned to this web site. We will update the web site as soon as there is a change.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Just heard he's seen a couple of small bulls, nothing to hang a tag on.

Might want to tell your buddy to STOP HUNTING.  there is a huge red sign on the entrances that he is ignoring saying the property is closed and he is liable to lose his pass if they find him

All the muzzleloader hunters are being allowed in.  This isn't something on the DL.  I'll keep everyone updated.

I'm just about to not post anything else for you guys.  They have permission from Hancock.  One more post about how it's closed, and I'll just have the MOD's delete the thread and then nobody gets any pictures or stories when he gets his bull.

Um, ok.

Ill give the hancock regional office a call on Monday but I was specifically told by the hancock regional manager that the areas are closed.   They are hoping to have it open for rifle but ML and archery got screwed

I'm not calling you a liar, but i would like to know who gave him permission.  I would like to contact that person because my 4 day hunting trip was ruined this weekend and maybe i can still salvage some of  it if they will give me permission.

Id say something about how hancock closed yesterday, but these threats are just way toooo serious.

Btw hancock closed.

I know Kapowsin & Eatonville opened for the last weekend of archery deer.  And they would be closed right now to anybody but the elk tag guys no matter what the fire danger.

Chill out,  I am willing to wager they are open for opening day of rifle.  Small wager of course.

I don't think any archery or ML hunters are going to chill out this year
