Good luck out there!    I doubt there will be enough rain forecasted or accutal rainfall to change this for at least a week. But keep checking these links for changes.
A copy of this post should be put in Campfire also.

Here is a little glimmer of hope.

Kelso, WA Weather Advisories, Watches & Warnings
SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
in effect until Thursday, Oct 11, 4:15pm.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER CHANGE EXPECTED FRIDAY AND INTO THE WEEKEND...

RAIN WILL RETURN TO SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST OREGON FRIDAY AS THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF FALL FRONTS MOVES INTO THE REGION. THE FIRST FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL GIVE LIGHT AMOUNTS OF RAIN TO THE AREA WITH RAIN CONTINUING AT TIMES ON SATURDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE SEASONABLE WITH THE SNOW LEVEL ABOVE ALL BUT THE HIGHEST PEAKS.

A SUBTROPICAL MOISTURE CONNECTION WILL FEED ADDITIONAL MOISTURE ACROSS WESTERN WASHINGTON AND OREGON SUNDAY AND MONDAY. IT IS LIKELY THAT THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST WILL SEE HEAVY RAIN FROM THESE SYSTEMS.

HEAVY RAIN IS MOST LIKELY IN WESTERN WASHINGTON AND NOT AS LIKELY FARTHER SOUTH IN OREGON. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT RAINFALL TOTALS FOR FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY COULD REACH AS HIGH AS 5 TO 8 INCHES IN THE SOUTH WASHINGTON CASCADES AND THE NORTH OREGON COAST RANGE...WITH AROUND 2 INCHES IN THE VALLEYS. HOWEVER...IF THE JET STREAM IS A LITTLE FARTHER NORTH RAINFALL WILL BE MUCH LESS IN NORTHWEST OREGON AND SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON.

THE MAIN IMPACT OF THESE STORMS WILL BE RAIN...BUT THE COAST AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS MAY EXPERIENCE STRONG GUSTY WINDS WITH SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS LATER IN THE WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK.

DUE THE THE HIGH UNCERTAINTY IN THE FORECAST FOR THIS PERIOD YOU SHOULD MONITOR THE SITUATION FOR FORECAST UPDATES AND BE PREPARED FOR WET FALL WEATHER AND RAINY CONDITIONS.

* inches of rain, 2 inches of rain.   As dry as the woods are, you might actually see alot of flash flooding.  The water just sheers off and is not absorbed.   This could be interesting.   Sorry nothing to do with original post.  Glad to hear moisture is coming.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
