I'm finding more and more scrapes every day I'm in the woods. This shouldn't be shocking as it is November and it always happens this time of year.

Unless the weather gets nasty in the next week I don't think the conditions will get any better for the last weekend of modern like we had last year. Single digit temps and 15+ inches of snow was exactly what the doctor ordered. If the temp starts dropping and stays cold that rut will be on like donkey kong!  :chuckle: Lets hope!

Was out in 101 all day today.  Came a across a few areas that were loaded with fresh rubs and scrapes.  Jumped some deer in the brush, saw two bucks take off followed by two doe shortly afterward.

I'll be heading down to the 172-181 area for the Blues Late tag tomorrow. Hopefully things are starting to heat up! Cold weather the next two days along with some snow should make for a good time.

Saw my first rut whitetail action of the year today in the Dayton Unit. Seems like last year was ~Nov 8th - Dec 8th.
Go Cougs!

I havnt been out to look  at whitetail but i saw a muleys buck ruttting hard on saturday.

I've heard reports that the muley bucks on base at Fairchild are running down paved roads at noon in hot pursuit of the ladies this week.

Only 2 days till the whitetail opener up north!!  Air was crisp this morning, felt dang rutty to me

I saw a few scrape lines and some fresh whitetail rubs while elk hunting last weekend in the Blues.  Rut should be picking up down there.

I'd have to bet a lot of bucks will hit the dirt this weekend; rut kicking in coupled with a few fresh inches of snow = notched tags.  I've always loved the stretch between Nov 11 - 15th.
