PHOTO OF THE MONTH CONTEST  August 2007

Please enter your favorite photo into our photo of the month contest.

-The photo must have been taken by the entrant within the last 12 months.
- The photo must be of wildlife or of scenery.
-Photo size should be 800x600 pixels or LESS
-Up to 3 entries per contestant are allowed per month.
-Entries must be submitted by midnite of the last day of the current month in order to qualify for that Months contest.

The photos will be evaluated by a panel of Judges made up of  Boneaddict, Jackelope, Billy the Kid Rock, Huntwa, and I’m hoping one more moderator that will be announced.  The winner (NO TIES) will be announced as soon as we come to a majority decision.

The Winner will have their photo posted on the front page and get a free patch.  Plus for the inaugural month of August,  I am going to donate a $20 gift card from somewhere  (maybe Lowes, Sportsman’s Warehouse or Fred’s, we’ll see) to go to the lucky winner.

Happy picture taking!

Do we just post them on here, or send them to somebody?

Put them right here.  If you have trouble posting the pics, let me know and I can get them up for you if you e-mail them to me.
Thanks!

I guess I will start it off. Here are my first two submissions. The first one is one I took of Mt St. Helens while hunting the Margaret unit last season. The second one is one I took while out fishing Elliott Bay last month. I will work on a 3rd entry this weekend.  :)

AWESOME guys...keep em coming.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Great Photo's guys!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

Those bears are kind of a crackup. I like it.

The turkey shot is really crisp looking.

Nope. Taken from our personal boat while out fishing.

Hope these turn out as sharp as the originals.  I had to cut them down from 100mb+ files.  Before I was a lawyer, I was a pro-photographer.  Now I just take these for fun.  No photoshop enhancements on these either.  I still shoot film, and before we had photoshop to enhance photos we use to use a film that enhanced colors...Fugi Velvia.

Took this on my yearly trek to my giant Muley photo grounds.  No, it's not the biggest, maybe a 170" or so, but it's a good photo imo.

I struggled with the idea of just submitting good nature photos, not being deer or game animals.  Hope these get their due...  This is an Agave in the desert.

Hard to beat Bryce Canyon at sunrise.

FYI, the first pic of the turkey is a friend and his son, this is one with my son in it.  Opening day of the youth season, almost had each of them fill a tag but my bird hung up at about 30 yards.

Oh sure HUNTWA, ban me from the contest but let a professional photographer play that is a lawyer to boot.    j/k

Excellent photographs everyone.  Keep them coming.  this is going to be a hard contest to judge I can tell already.
