Don't worry about the truglo site on your shotty. Worry about that orange camo blend shirt you are considering wearing.

I got em on my wingmaster & love em, as my eyes are not as they once were. Pretty small for a turkey to see but I wouldn't put it past em.

I use one on my turkey gun. Buy a extra battery before you leave. You might not need it but you know.
i have considered taking mine off, because turning it on and off all the time is a hassle.

But a guy I know kills birds every year with one. The Turkeys do see the red lense, but if you are well camo, they have trouble deciding what it is.

Sorry I mis-read thought you were talking about Tru-glow red dot.

I started using a reflex sight on my shotgun and love it.  Instead of the regular tru glo type sights where you are lining the front bead between two back beads and trying to align that with the turkeys head/neck,  I now just put the reticle (I use the single dot) on the turkey ... it's fast and accurate !  My reflex only cost me $50 and is amazing.

I don't think a tru glo would be a problem.  Now crinkling the wrapper of a power bar or cracking a pepsi might be a different story :chuckle:

I have never had a problem witha turkey picking up either my tru glo sights or my reflex sight.  However 2-1/4 ozs of # 6's seems to scare them to death ....  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I have been using the Ring of Fire sight now for 8yrs now which is the same site as the Dead Ringer site Cabelas carries with no issues at all of the birds seeing them even at 12yards being my closest shot.
