bow fishing help!

I just got a old bear bow with a old shoot thru real on it from my grandfather,I was looking on cabelas and was wondering what Kindof  string you guys are using? And I wanna upgrade my real but I am limited to a front mont only so what's the best in ur opinion? Thanks for the help

The front mount reels are all about the same. You need to get bowfishing line. Do not try to use anything else but bowfishing line. There is a couple different types fast flight and Dacron. You want the thinner line for that style of reel not the heavy Dacron.

That line will work but it is a little heavy. Most of the drum style reels come stock with like 80-120lb test line. When you get a new drum it should come with line for you.

ok thanks, I have been looking at that site but am trying to stay with cabelas because I have a gift card to use, but I think I will just order the Cajun kit from there, its a screw on, the reviews arnt that great though so it kindof gave me second thoughts, have u used any of there products before?

There is a tape on style reel on there now, dose there have to be  pre drilled holes for the screw in type reels?, there is only 1 screw hole,

Your bear should have one hole in the front to screw in the reel stud. The tape on is for recurves and bows without a stabilizer hole.

Oh of course love to help! All you need is a rest unless you bear is a recurve "didn't ask" then you just shoot off the shelf. arrows/reel and line. Some good polarized sunglasses will be worth there weight in gold!!!
