Sweeeet ... Did you ever get your cougar mounted  :dunno:
ric with all that's wild taxidermy in tieton is doing the full mount for me on the cougar.  I am headed down tomorrow to drop off the bear for a rug.  Hopefully he will at least have my scull done.

I drew Sherman Spring Bear this year and bagged my bear this May. Took my best friend out hunting last weekend and she killed her first bear in SE WA. Taking another friend out this weekend so I hope to have more pictures to post soon :)

Did the last bear get shot in the face? Did that shot kill it?

After being bummed out by a crappy elk season.  I headed back out and took this guy last monday.  Not huge but he will do.  Can't wait to get the hams in the smoker.

He sure is, but the wife makes a much better looking subject to photograph though!  :yike:

My first bear, he came lumbering in to the clear cut while elk hunting and couldn't pass him up.  Never knew they were so tasty!

Well I took my son to where I got my first bear 15 years ago, hiked in to what is called the wall before you basically are on MT Baker and stopped for a break and watch a small area. Within just minutes we spotted a MT goat that eventually feed within 30 yards of us before I shoed him away, didn't want to be on the sharp end of its horn!  :yike:

We started working our way out glassing all the open spots, and bowls below us. Dad look a bear, we'll shot it if you want it!  :chuckle: Ok he says, we'll he had to wait as it feed into some brush, finally he had a shot boom it runs up hill almost out off the bowl, stopped just shy of the top by 30 yards, he put one more shot into it as it kept moving. Now the fun part getting to it all most strait down on a ledge, we got to it holding on to trees and brush.

Got it all taken care of and packed up, he went strait up 30 yards holding onto trees and brush. The kid is built like a moose, thank god because I would have had a hard time doing what he did. He has killed deer before, and couldn't stomach the smell when I gutted all them, this time he took care of all that plus skinned and quartered it all out.

Now the fun part eating it , all in all a great day. His first bear, sunny nice fall day spent with my son, beautiful scenery, it doesn't get any better than that!    :chuckle:

Sorry about poor pic quality, my phone camera lense is cracked.  :dunno:
