I think the young man may have my vote for best spring bear. Big Red is tough to beat but kids and blond bears is a great combo.

Wasn't to be with the bow this year as all I saw was bald little sows and cubs when carrying the bow.  Got it done with the .325 Kimber @ 205 yards.  Bingo - I'll take it!

Alwinearcher,  that bear looks like an old warrior.  Interesting to know how old it is.   Nice work.

Yeah, I am interested to find out how old it is also...
Very unique face on it thats for sure!   (my wife prefers we call it unique rather then ugly.) :chuckle:

He has a great hide and the pictures show that a little too well.  I think a great bear, but really only a smidgeon above 200#.  Pictures don't show how old he is.  Very grey in the face with grey throughout the body and feet.  Almost all the teeth worn down to the gums and only about 50% of the canine length left.  Of the nearly 60 bear I've taken for myself he is one of the coolest looking bear I have ever taken and I'm thrilled.  A big thanks to Bearpaw on that guy   I would have never found that part of the territory on my own.  All I could find this year by myself was "Romper Room" >:(
