Nice pics from both of you!

Nice TK.  I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets snow dumped on their face and down the back of their neck when tromping around the woods.

Nice work Bones and TK!  You guys sure know how to find them, have been admiring both of your deer photography for quite a while; nice to see great regional wildlife photos!
Hey TK, are you still shooting with Nikon?  Are still using the 80-400 VR lens?

Old #41 was charging at me in response to rattling...was at 15 yds when he came around the tree.

Ricochet, That black or chocolate brown doe is awesome. I've seen piebalds and an albino buck but that thing is once in a lifetime. Beautiful.

For most people the melanistic deer would be extremely rare, even more rare than albinos, but the gene pool along the Blitzen river produces them with some regularity.  Since 2004 I've had multiple encounters with at least four different black deer, including a black doe with a black fawn.  Very cool to see.
