We did an overhaul of our target trailer. Did a spring over lift on it, new floor, and some sweet regarding buckets. Of course one of our members Doug was putting up new burlap targets on the flat range.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

We had a good turnout as usual at the Club it was good to see Drock and his girl tearing it up on the course.  I brought mine along on the first day.

Our next shoot is going to be the Trad only shoot. Come check it out.

It was a little wet at the Trad shoot on Saturday. Here are some pics from the course.

Anyone do the string shoot? What was your favorite Target? I'll let you know later how many targets there were. There were several pretty well hidden targets.

We had our awards Banquet this evening.  We had a stellar prime rib with all manner of fixings.  The Presidents award went to Connie and Borden Nethkin for thier years of service. They  have manned the kitchen and grill over the last several years keeping our kitchen stocked with food and refreshments for the 3d and indoor target shoots we've held.

One of our members has been working hard on a cool phone app for the Club. Avenza Maps is a free app you can get for your phone. You can upload homade maps and waypoints for others to download and use. The Pic is our rough draft of the map you can download for FREE of our course. We've been playing with it and it works well. It isn't accurate enough to tell you how far you are to the target bump puts you with in 5 yards or so of your true location. This will make it easy to find your designated starting targets for shotgun starts, and make a course map available to anyone with the down load.  We hope to have the updated map loaded soon. Additionally there will be some new signage going in with printed maps and a QR code (square bar code) to take you directly to where you need to download the interactive map. Give this a test and I'll report back when we have the new map up and going.

The updated map on the Avenza Maps app is now up and running! This will be awesome for organizing our future shoots as well as being able to find our way around the course. The Map and App are FREE! use it and let me know what you think!

How come no 3D shoots this summer other than the one in late August?

Believe it or not our best attendance for 3d shoots are in the first 4 months of the year.  This year we held the WSAA feild shoot, last weekend I believe a paper target shoot, and that took up part of the schedule. It takes a lot of work to set up the 3d shoots and our core group of volunteers are busy with life.

Paper shoots bring in just as many shooters now.  The days of huge attendance at 3-d shoots are gone.

Each year in October the WSAA has a convention and they seek clubs out/ to hold the different state sanctioned to events. Often times we out in for the State 3D but we have held it so many times it's been other clubs time in the rotation.

The club has a good mix of hunters, target shooters, and Tradtional shooters so we try to do something for each of the groups.

Went out this morning and shot a round. The mapping system works best if you leave it on while walking the course.
