Does the mount/turret obscure the holo sight?

It's close, but works really well.

Are there thread protector caps available for all of the barrels you put muzzle brakes on, BH? My friend's rifle has a brake and at least one of the ranges around here doesn't allow them. Also, does taking off the brake affect ballistics at all?

I've never had a issue with shift of impact on my AR's with or without a brake. Yes you can get a knurled threat protecter to go on in place of the muzzle brake. A plain 5/8-24 one off of EBAY is the simplest salution, 10.00 bucks or so for a stainless knurled threat protecter shipped. They fit the Blackhole barrel threads well.

When I search 5/8x24, all of them say .308. Will that work? Thanks BH.

Love this thread

OK, here we go. I don't have the Magpul PRS stock or the Harris 9-13" bi-pod yet, but here's the rest that I'm starting on today.

So, Biggerhammer is the one who designed and built this gun with me. I should have final construction done by the end of this weekend. Details later. Right now, my wife wants me because with this gun, I'm a stud. Thanks BH!
