This is true, and I'll sure I'll set one or two, but I'm going first for spot and stalk.

When I drew WA, three years ago, I committed to the bow, passed on one in beginning of season around 150lbs, had a nice one at 20 yards at end of season about to shoot, but was winded. Ate that tag.

That's what I'm afraid of but that's why they call it hunting. I'm doing it for the experience and to learn more.
Good luck in Idaho can't wait to see your success pics. When does Idaho season start?

Starts April 15th. Discounted unit so I can take TWO bears at $31.75/each (non-resident). Still have to buy license though ($150ish).

Right. And because you can take two, you can smoke one off a bait, and still spot and stalk another.

That's a perfect way to go. And a lot of fun. How far of a drive is 9th for you to get there?

I am also going to try with my bow this year. I have taken 3 bears with my rifle so I would like to up the challenge level. Plus I love to spot-and-stalk hunt, so I am excited. I drew Wenaha, so it could be a HUGE challenge!!
