Finally
« on: April 16, 2014, 08:28:03 PM »
I finally called in a couple yotes . Had to do it my house though . Last Wed. morning my wife calls me at work and says a couple coyotes tried to attack the dog threw the fence , so that night I set up in our rasberry patch and started to call. It's kind of dark but I have a faint amount of light from our garage and house lights . Because of my field fence they only have one way to come in , down the drive way . After a couple calls I see the shadow of a coyote sneaking down the drive way , he finally gives me a 18 yard shot . Drop him in his track with a 20 gauge and buck shot . Sweet , I'm stoked . Thur. night I do the same thing except this one comes in fast and stops behind a bush were I have no shot , next thing I know it's running straight at me . I shoot it at 10 ft. Quite the rush .

No Keen we did not eat them though my wife did look it up  how to cook them .From what we found they are not that good of table fair . I'd like to try with the bow but it is pretty dark were I'm sitting and it would be hard to get off a shot .
