Ar cleaning kit, what's in yours?
« on: April 19, 2014, 07:58:00 AM »
Just wondering what everyone uses in their ar cleaning kits. Will be interesting to see what kind of oil people use and if anyone has any special tools.

In mine I have

CLP
Rem Oil
Bronze chamber brush
Bore snake
Nylon brush
Lots of rags and cotton swabs

Anyone have the cat M4 tool? Or any of the other specialized ones

Semper Paratus

Beretta White Wing 12ga Approx 20k rounds and still going strong!
Tikka t3 light 300wm

I have a bore guide, and use the Patch-out stuff for cleaning.  I have the Pro Shot thingy that holds those cylindrical swabs for cleaning the bolt recess, and it's a piece of crap.  Sinclair makes one that clamps onto the patch so you can clean that area without the swab falling off!  I like the Patch-out stuff mainly because as absent-minded as I am, I sometimes leave the bore wet overnight, and it doesn't hurt the bore...   I don't use a brush unless I've put a LOT of rounds down the tube.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Slip 2000 EWL oil and an Otis cleaning kit along with a nylon brush.
