Serious Blacktail hunters....
« on: April 20, 2014, 12:25:04 PM »
Is there anyone that has good experience and knowledge in Blacktail hunting that would be interested in trading some knowledge of areas in return for quality Whitetail or Mule Deer info on the Eastside. I am looking to get acquainted with a serious Blacktail hunter that has been successful in Blacktail hunting and willing to share honest knowledge of their years of experience in their honeyhole(s)..... In return, I will provide the same, including knowledge of which draws to apply for in my area, Rifle or Archery. I can provide pictures of my success. I do not need anyone to hunt with, but looking for knowledge and direction. I have a private area that I can provide for a legal buck for a young hunter, newbie, etc. or can give detail on areas to hunt for a trophy, based on my experience. My idea of a trophy is Whitetail in the 160"plus class and Mule Deer in the 180" plus class.
This would need to be a face to face in time, and a trust built before any info given for my areas, (probably the same as yours), mine are very confidential and have taken years to learn. I am a solo hunter and don't want party hunting, want and need respect for the info....
I have hunted on the coast during the late season for Blacktail in the past, I have yet to take one, seen many legal bucks, but nothing that I would consider mounting, great times, and will continue to hunt them. Just interested in checking out the possibility of sharing some knowledge and maybe getting the chance to exchange some valuable info back and forth.
Thanks.

I'm having photo problems but here are a few from a similar thread a couple years ago. High country bucks.
