What WSB is Working on More Specifically
« on: June 10, 2014, 08:41:10 PM »
The WSB has a strong voice in the seasons, areas and restrictions setting process with WDFW.  When something archery-related changes or needs to be changed, then you can bet that we've been working on it.  We've created a new page on our website that details more specifically what we fighting for in the many meetings we attend across the state.  This page will only be accessible to logged-in members and will show up under the "About Us" tab of our website at www.wsbowhunters.org.

Your membership in WSB is critical to keeping that voice strong and well-respected with WDFW!  If you're not a member, then I strongly encourage you to join.  This is the single best way for an archery hunter in Washington to get his or her voice heard on seasons and regulations.

Good info, Todd.
I just renewed my membership.

Hi Todd. I don't see a tab that says "About Us", but one that says "About". Under that tab, I only see three choices: Borad of Directors, Bylaws, and WA bohunter education. What am I missing here?

Hello,

New to Washington and was looking into what the WSB was all about and what the organization has done for the bow hunting community in "Recent" years. I am not a member yet, still deciding.. However, the link under "About" just brings up a blank page. Where would I be able to find this info? Thanks

Ya...keep moving the early hunt for elk back...squeeze more hunters into smaller and less areas...impossible to draw tags....all ground locked up Westside. ...spike only general seasons east...on elk but not deer...deer are 3 point or better..fine hunting here in Washington.
The only money I will spend hunting in Washington is fuel to get to another state.

As I understand it, the proposal on the table by WDFW is to start bow season on the Saturday following Labor Day and go for 13 days. That should take care of the rut.

Same things can be said for muzzy and modern hunters, it's not just archery. ;)

Are there any issues you will collaborating with the WSAA and the Trad archery Org? I think that the state hears us when the Archery Orgs speak together.

Thankyou for the hard work you do!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

shane was referring to the late archery whitetail deer season in ne wa. Used to start nov 20 them was moved to start nov 25 to make room for 1-2 quality buck tags in each gmu.  :bash:

:yeah: It always started on the 20th. Rifle didnt lose any rut days and as it stands now they have a better season than archery for late whitetails. Whats crap is there are no late whitey tags in 127 or other southern units, but yet its not open to hunt. The late tags up north for 4 days are a load of crap for us archers to lose the BEST part of the late archery season.
