Draw Results
« on: June 11, 2014, 04:06:48 PM »
Me, my Dad, and brother-in-law all drew Cow Manastash tags. Last year my Dad and I drew Bull tags in the Manastash...pretty good luck as of late. I also drew a second deer in Spokane North. I just love those whitetails. I cant wait to try out my new Knight bighorn. How'd everyone else do?

First time for me to ever see "Selected". Only for Colockum antlerless elk but a lot better than all "Not Selected".

Took me 4 years!

Congrats guys!   My son and I drew muzzy cow tags for the Ryderwood!

Jimmy33,
Which bighorn did you get?  Gotta get one for the kid.  Well he's not much of a kid anymore, he's only 6-4 looking down at me and 21 years old.  But he's the best hunting partner I ever had.  We are pumped!   :)

Satsop anterless deer muzzy x3 in the group. Second time in three years with this draw, just hoping there will be some non WECO land we can hunt on this time around. Might have to check the maps and such to see if the old familiar spots are still open. Lake Arrowhead local is our favorite spot anyone know if this area will be WECO gated this year?
Whatever........

I'm usually an archery hunter.  But, I did draw Bethel Muzzy cow elk tag this year (as I have the MS Elk permit).

Nothing else drawn in the Quality, Bull, Buck, or 2nd deer categories.

hooker...I got the 50 cal laminate with thumbhole stock. I love it.

scott...last year we went to rifle after being away for 12 years. The odds were better for us to finally draw a bull tag and we drew. I filled my tag but my Dad didn't. It was too bad. We hunted with a muzzy for deer but not elk last year. So, were back to my first love muzzleoading this year. It should be fun.

Nothing for me but I only put in for cow elk wet side.  The fee and with  few points I don't like the odds.   Which now I am happy as I found out I have to be in Dallas for work Oct 5-8..

This will be my first year muzzy deer so I have something to concentrate on.  Then maybe late elk.

Well not every one is reported in yet.

But Ghost Camp has three cow muzzy tags for Umtanum and two Master Hunter n. Region 4 tags.

First time for me to ever see "Selected". Only for Colockum antlerless elk but a lot better than all "Not Selected".

Took me 4 years!

If that's the muzzy hunt, it's a phenomenal draw.  They handed out more tags this year...but still.  Be sure you have the freezer cleaned out before you leave.

PM if you need some guidance.

My dad and I have the same tag.  I was there last year.  Buddy and I were going to swing by your camp and introduce ourselves, but the fuel pump took a crap on me and really limited the usefulness of my truck.  I have a buddy that camps down the road from you guys as well.  We'll make sure to swing by this year and say hello.

yo jimmy...I know of at least 12 other people that drew a cow muzzy tag in the same area as you all.  I get the feeling they want to reduce the herd in them thar parts... :sry:

It's not just the Colockum they are trying to reduce the numbers.  The rest of the ellensburg/yakima areas are the same way with over 400 Muzzle loader cow tags offered in multiple units.

Yes, unless the permit is for a second animal. Then you will need to purchase a second tag.

The state sent them a list of the successful candidates information. The USAF is supposed to be sending us information regarding the hunt. Call me over zealous, but I'm getting a little fidgety with the hunt so quickly approaching and not knowing diddly about it. I have talked with four different people from the state and keep getting the same answer, "Sit tight." I will probably head over middle of the month and scout around the facility and learn that area as a backup if the hunt sucks.

Quackwhacker: That's awesome to hear. I really hope to see some fair whiteys and get the stink off my muzzleloader. Congrats on the Moose draw! That's got to be pretty damn exciting.
