Good luck fellas.  My partner and I have the whole season off as well and look to tag some roseys over on the Westside.  Be careful and shoot straight.

Was up there last week. I can assure you they have put up "No Fire" signs on the Anatone side FS line. Said no campfires or even charcoal bbq's.

I'm sure they have signs up at all of the entrances into the NF.  I was up there on Labor Day weekend two years ago when they had the same "phase B" restrictions in place and there were signs up at the entrances. Unfortunately, the only places fires are allowed right now are in designated camp grounds.  Hopefully they lift the restrictions soon.

Good luck fellas!  Stick a couple big boys!

And it looks like they are back to Phase A public use restrictions.  You guys can have a campfire and run a chainsaw now.

Just got back from scouting as I have to work 1 more night before I head back down for the whole season. Bullblaster and I scouted the weekend and turned out better than I could of imagined. The first night we found a big herd of cows in a area where a cam of ours was,but no bull around. Next am we started the 3.5 mi walk to a cam and halfway there we walked up on 15 cows and a cool 7x6 with a split g5 with awesome mass and 3 raghorns he was bugling, mounting cows and chasing the rags off. We made our way over to the cam and climbed up on a rock perch to take a break and a bull screams out below this goes on for a 1/2 hr as he is destroying a tree could never see the bull.We look across the canyon and a massive 7x7 bull is on the run to this bull thrashing the tree 15 min goes by and you can hear antlers crash together! never did see the other bull. We get back to camp about 11 am and bull sounds off! Sounded high pitch and small I thought it was a rag bugling being so close to camp..I decide to call to it and it came down the mt to about 300 yards with a herd of cows...it was no rag! it was a huge 6x6 with close to 20" g2's and 18+ 3rds and mass!! we figured this bull may go in the 350" range...we left him alone and listened to him bugle that day  :chuckle: also heard 2 others on that hill. Weather came in yesterday afternoon and it got cold, wet and windy ,so we took a drive and found some small bulls. I had to come home today for 1 final night of work before heading back. Bullblaster located the 7x6 tonight feeding right where we saw them yesterday am. He will be there at first light tomorrow. I got a message today where a 380" 6x6 was this am...Going to go look for him tomorrow night. We met Elkburger and and Elkterd today.

Awesome!
