Home brew phone scope
« on: July 11, 2014, 10:14:27 PM »
Not having a spare $80 to spend on a phone skope at the moment I got to thinking... how hard could it be to make one? Went into the garage to find some sort of tube and came up with the perfect piece that already had a hole centered in the middle that fit snug on the eyepiece of my spotter. Took an old phone case and centered the hole over the camera and glued it down. Stuck it on the spotter and bam, phone skope!

Re did the thing today, didn't like how it wasn't very snug on the eyepiece, an old scope cover worked great! I dabbed 4 drops of hot glue inside and smashed it down. It fits like a glove now! Just needs paint and it's ready.

Cool idea and easy design. Boy, is your wife going to be mad when she sees what you did to her phone!  :yike:
