looking for access in Mayview unit #145
« on: July 14, 2014, 01:02:29 PM »
I was drawn for a second deer tag in this unit (muzzy). I have hunted it a couple of times before and know of a couple of feel free to hunt spots. Is anyone willing to share any other public access spots or info of people to ask for permission from?

Thanks in advance!

Is there any land down there in that hunt by reservation program through WDFW? That's going to be tough to get on private ground in that area. It's pretty well locked up I think.
Good luck.

I grew up in the 142 almota unit.  I know mayview pretty well and also own some land in the 178 peola.  There is quite a bit of feel free to hunt on alpowa grade.  There are some monsters in there.  I know we used to run the boat down the river and hunt the corp of engineers land there.  But be careful where you go there is a farmer there that owns about 50,000 acres that his son guides on.  Don't be in the wrong place.
A bad day out hunting is better than a good day at work!
