Poll

Your thoughts while archery hunting and just looking to fill your tag

He's pretty tall, got to be at least a 3pt, eye guard is bonus.... shoot
Eye guard looks like an inch ...shoot
Better not, because I'm just not sure... pass
Definitely not legal pass

Boom dead.

In my camp that is a big forked horn. I don't care what the game department say's about the eye guard rule (one of the dumbest) calling an eye guard a point. Yep he walks.

I'm not sure about that eye guard so I will pass. If the eye guard was a little longer I would take the shot.
:yeah:
I'm borderline on the brow tine.  If convinced legal...dead deer.

I say it's legal but also a good advertisement for quality optics.  Get that guy at 100 plus yards and cheap glass will drive you crazy trying to figure him out.

First, I'm not interested in shooting him at all.

Once he finishes growing and rubs that velvet off that eye gaurd may be an inch long, but if he rubbed tomorrow I'm not sure he would be legal for anyone, he might only be 3/4 or 7/8 on that eye guard after rubbing, I think he needs to add a little to that eye guard before a guy can be safe for sure. :twocents:

The velvet makes it tougher to tell the length of that eyeguard.  With the velvet off, I'm pretty sure I'd turn him into venison.

For the guys saying he's a legal buck, how can you be certain until he is on the ground?  That eye guard might be 1" but then it could be 1/2"...........I'd be worried that he wouldn't quite measure up.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Trying to avoid those who would pass because of size.  Looking for who thinks he's legal who thinks he's not.  When I looked at him I thought he was right on the line and as Dale said, when that velvet rubs off....wondering....

Another pic.

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
