Bear in 117 Deer lake
« on: September 30, 2014, 11:34:46 PM »
Been wearing out my boots hiking the hills in the Deer lake area.  Anyone had any luck up there?   Saw some older scat but nothing too promising.  Curious if anyone has been successful in the area? :dunno:

Got my bear close by there on the 8th.  You hunting private land? Buck creek?  The sign I've seen lately hasn't been that great but they're still around.  From what I've seen they're still eating in the Hawthorne patches but most the hawthorns are all eaten up. Looks to me that they're eating the other stuff that grows in the patches. Also I've noticed the rose hips are getting hammered pretty good as well. Good luck

Had a huge one on the trail cam this morning... Bigger tried pulling my deer feeder down.. Even knocked the camera over scaling the tree.
