Can't decide which?
« on: October 22, 2014, 03:50:48 PM »
Can't decide If I'm the worlds worst deer hunter or just have really crappy luck?!?! I got a multi season tag this year and have been hitting hard on the weekends and haven't even seen a buck!! I got a snoqualmie Hancock tag and have spent weekends of modern out there. I even called in sick yesterday and hunted all day. Saw one doe. Couldn't believe it, but didn't even see another orange hunter all day! Weather was perfect even with off and on showers and a slight steady breeze.. It's killin me!!!

That's why they call it huntin and not killin. Keep at it your hard work and patience will pay off.

A couple years ago I had the multi for deer and I could not buy a branched antler buck in any of the three seasons. I did pass up spikes and does in legal areas and hit the rifle season pretty hard during the rut, but no branch bucks so I ate tag soup.

Rut really hasn't kicked in here yet.  Bucks are still hanging in the trees waiting.  Should be any day now you will catch a buck getting drawn out into the open by a sexy doe.  Just be patient!  Success is just too quick once you pull the trigger...anticipation is the lasting and enjoyable part of hunting.  It's the prelude to a complete hunting adventure!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Alright, done feeling sorry for myself! Thanks for the pep talk fellas!! Heading out Saturday crack of dawn to hopefully get on one. Sounds like it'll be a wet windy one here on the wetside. Perfect hunting weather I suppose.. Thanks again for the encouraging words!
