Nocturnal blacktails
« on: October 24, 2014, 09:10:49 AM »
I have my trail camera over a pile of apples. I have had three different bucks spend time eating the apples at night. Any ideas to lure them out during shooting hours?

Does!

Mature blacktails are extremely nocturnal, any day now they will start thinking with their pecker instead of their brain and that will bring them out at all times of the day.

What he said :yeah:, I have a group that hang in the backyard and like clock work the bucks  disappear right when the horns get hard. Only show up at night for the next 6-8 weeks, then when the does start coming in estres they make a few rare day time appearances, usually with a doe or shortly there after. Then they become regulars at the bait shack day and night in late December/January and we go throughout the same thing again.
